Smashing merch projects is our team's forte, but throwing a proper party comes in at a close second place! This year's Christmas party definitely did not disappoint.
We kicked off our evening at the Mojo office - not for work, but to begin the festive celebrations by popping open the prosecco! With a couple of fresh faces recently added to the team, everyone enjoyed some new introductions and flowing conversations between plus one's and colleagues from across the office.
With the team (and alcohol) spirits high, it was time to get everyone together to commence an annual tradition: the Mojo awards ceremony. Congratulations to all of our winners! The standout's this year have to be double Dan, who each managed to bag themselves a well-deserved award to take home on the night:
- The award for Most Improved went to Dan B. This recognises the great progress he has made throughout this entire year, and an admirable willingness to step up.
- The Spirit of MoJo award was presented to Dan O. Anyone who has worked with him can attest that he goes above and beyond; whether it is helping out a colleague, or making sure any customer issues are resolved swiftly.
Following up the awards was this year's Secret Santa, an entertaining spectacle where we witnessed our colleagues unwrap an assortment of questionable gifts, inside jokes and thoughtful presents. A stocked supply of favourite biscuits, squash accessories, an interesting set of gold lips... some were impressively calculated, others were last-minute purchases, but all made for brilliant reactions from the team for a little festive fun.
Next on the agenda: a three-course Christmas meal at Zizzi's to refuel for the night ahead and relax amongst great company. We tucked into a surprisingly festive-themed Italian meal, from proscuitto-wrapped chicken with cranberries to chestnut pork stuffing pizzas. This was a great chance to take a real sit down as a close-knit team and enjoy ourselves after a busy and productive year, which felt extra special by having our loved ones from home there to celebrate with us.
Though we paid up at Zizzi's, the night wasn't over just yet; we made our way over to Hive & Honey to continue the merriness. Time flies when you're having fun, and this was certainly true that night as we shared many stories and jokes over drinks. A slow trickle of our colleagues began to make their way home, whilst others kept the party going into the early hours.
All in all, it was the perfect way to wrap up another amazing year at Mojo; merited recognitions, great and gaudy gift-giving, a rejuvenating meal all tied up by drinks as a gathered group. A truly memorable evening had by all, it was a wonderful way to begin the festive period and reward ourselves for the hard work put into 2025.
