MoJo’s Guide to: Prodir Pens

If your looking for a pen that is packed with quality and low emissions then you've stumbled across the right brand - Prodir. Every pen in this range is made in Switzerland, meaning less time in the air and more in your hand. So why Prodir? They aren't a budget brand and that's simply because they last much (much) longer versus the market alternatives and in our experience they don't get chucked away compared to the normal, cheap plastic, far east alternatives. So, if your looking for a pen that sticks around for longer, ensuring your logo does too, then read on for some of our favourite examples...

First up and one of the newest the range as of late 2023 is the DS6 Mini. Measuring in at just over 12cm these pens are ideal to slip into a bag without fuss, whilst they also have a long ink coverage - small but mighty! The casing is also made from a recyclate whose manufacture generates 40% less CO2 emissions than the standard - a nice sustainable kick that's bang on trend. And as with most Prodir pens you also have a choice of different inks such as gel or floating ball inks, which are all lead free!

The DS3.1 is the twin to the DS3, but of course with a difference. On these pens Prodir have concentrated on the evolution of design, with the clip just slightly bigger and a redesigned twist mechanism integrated. Essentially they offer you a slightly different pen, with the same promises as the original. You have, once more, bundles of branding options whilst you also have the option to mix-and-match the elements, just ask on your enquiry!

The title and exert cap these DS3 Biotics to a tee! The outer is made from renewable plant-based raw materials, with the sand version containing a wood-powder composite mix which is injecting into the casing during the manufacturing process making them an eco conscious brands essential! The name is even on the side of the cap meaning you can focus on other strap-lines for the rest of the pen. And just like all Prodir pens they contain sustainable ink refills, giving them a further green boost compared to the market alternatives.

Ever heard of a squared circle? Well the DS4 is as close as it gets, a typical edgy design from Prodir. So why square? The design comes from it's home, the squared Swiss flag which is square-shaped in turn. They have a stylish lightness which in turn gives them a bold presence, ideal for branding. You're able to brand to the usual positions and we've had plenty of success stories, checkout our journal for some inspiration!

The middle priced pen in the range but still with eco and premium qualities, the DS8 soft touch is for the sophisticated. The model, rather obviously, is soft to touch which offers an un-complicated writing experience, so for those who love a doodle or write regularly then this is the one for you! The DS8 soft touch comes with mix-and-match options and has a range of branding positions, with the most poplar to the front of the barrel or to the clip. If you want to get your message across or you want to add a strap line or website, then why not both?

A mojo favourite, the QS01 is another stunning example of Prodir pushing the boundaries to success with their designs. The ergonomic body relays the experience when in hand, with each sharp yet soft edge reflecting elegantly in light. Once more Prodir won more awards with this pen - the BPMA Promotional Pen Award and the Promotional Gift Award - showing their superior standards in industry.

We love the way Prodir hit-home the even more sustainable pens in their range, and the DS8 True Biotic does this to perfection. The aim of this pen is to produce maximum sustainability with a timeless looking design which means that your stock never goes out of fashion and gets used time-and-time again. Like some others you're even able to have sustainable pouches which have nifty strap-lines and extra information, all whilst looking more gift-like.

Winner of the BMPA Promotional Pen Award is no mean feat. The QS20 is all about design, with is's sculptured design stealing the show, making it a highly desirable pen at such a competitive price. The QS20 also comes with huge customisation potential with a range of clip shapes, materials and finishes all available to this low-polluting writing instrument. Made with sustainable materials, these opens giver the user such a different writing experience which lasts long in the memory, a branded merch essential!

Last on the list is the QS40, which of course is our favourite! This pen is the first ever writing instrument to have all of its external components made from natural, plastic-free biopolymers (PHA) making it one of the greenest pens on the promotional market. Sustainable with an innovative design there's simply little chance these will get thrown away due to their unique design and sensory qualities. Alike some of the other pens on the list, your able to add the sustainable pouch POA to reinforce the qualities. They've even won a couple of awards: the iF Product Design Award & The Promotional Gift Award.
