MoJo’s Guide to: Refillable Metal Pens

Remember when there wasn't the need for reusable water bottles or travel mugs? It feels like a lifetime ago but our habits have changed dramatically, especially since the pandemic. Keeping items for longer is much more sustainable for the planet, so why shouldn't we consider this more when it comes to our writing instruments? Metal refillable pens last much longer to the alternatives, some can even last a lifetime. We've put this guide together with some of our favourites, and remember that the longer the pen lasts then as does your brand!

First up is the most cost effective on the list and perhaps the most versatile, the Rutland. Made from a sturdy metal these pens can either be engraved for a quality looking finish, or they can be digitally printed in full colour making these perfect for brands with a gradient or variety of colours. What makes the Rutland so popular is the larger colour range compared to most metal based pens. Joint 1st with the highest Eco Assessment in this guide, the Recycled Aluminium pen does exactly what it says on the tin and a bit more! The pens are made from, well, sustainable recycled aluminium and come with an eco bamboo button, another sustainable material. You once more have a vast array of branding options, with a steady colour selection to choose from, whilst they are compatible with Parker refills meaning they can be purchased easily at your own connivence and ensuring the pens last longer than standard models.

A MoJo best seller and it isn't hard to see why. The Turin offers a premium feel for a fraction of the price, something that our customers really appreciate. However it is less known that these are easily refillable - with the Parker G2 size refill compatible with these pens! They come in a classic colour range and have a stunning weighty & sturdy feel which really relays their qualities. Alike others in the range they can also be supplied in individual gift boxes at an additional charge, just ask on your enquiry for more information.

Right in the middle of this guide is one of our favourites, the BIC Crystal. Made by our friends over at BIC within their Tunisian complex, the barrel is made from aluminium which can be recycled infinitely, whilst the cap is made from a recycled plastic making these highly sustainable. Your logo is engraved to this new pen based on the classic plastic edition, whilst you are also provided with 3 additional refills as standard. These can't be re-purchased, however, but they essentially last 4 times as longer (and more) than many of the market alternatives.

The Urbino is once more a refillable metal pen (of course) but we've popped this popular edition in as it's also one of our best stylus pens. The stylus at the top is adaptable for a range of industries, particularly for tech companies launching a new product. These come with the German easyFlow black ink, lasting much longer versus the market alternatives. They also come in black or silver for a more corporate theme, which we find really nail these types of companies.

As you can see from the image above, the Pesaro oozes elegance and class. Coming in navy or black these pens have gorgeous chrome detail that compliments the aesthetic, alongside your branding. They are also fitted with the German easyFlow ink, lasting much longer versus the alternatives and easy to find refills for. If you want to give a gift feel like the University of Leicester did in the image above you can add the premium gift box POA, for that little extra touch.

The last one on the list is certainly the most recognisable of the lot, the Parker. This famous brand offers stunning brand association as they are pre-branded and come in a retail standard Parker gift box. Your artwork can be branded to multiple positions and in multiple ways, but it just has to be a laser engraving for us which really gives them that extra layer of luxury. You are able to get refills from any good retailer making them easy to use again & again for many years to come.
