Mojo Reflects on a New Kind of Business Gathering...
Last Thursday, Mojo had the privilege of attending the first ever The B-Side event: a gathering that, even partway through, made it clear something special was stirring in the business world. As we listened to business leaders from across sectors, sharing how they balance profit and purpose, one thought struck us: this is what the future of doing business looks like.
- Purpose-led business in action: The event emphasised how organisations embracing the B Corp principles, prioritising their workers, communities, customers, and planet, aren’t sacrificing profitability. In fact, more and more, we’re seeing that businesses doing good are growing faster, becoming more resilient, more trusted. The data is catching up to the ambition.
- Community & openness: Having Hana Kidy from B Lab UK there added to that sense of real engagement which got the group energised about more.
WHY IT MATTERS TO US
At Mojo, we’ve always believed promotional merchandise and branded products are more than just “stuff.” They’re ambassadors of values, stories, and movements. So when we see events like The B-Side pushing forward conversations about inclusive growth, stakeholder benefit, and regenerative economics it feels like alignment, not just opportunity.
It reinforces our commitment: to work with partners, materials, processes, and ideas that don’t just do business well, but well for all. To keep pushing on sustainability, transparency, fairness whether in the sourcing of eco-friendly merch, or ensuring supplier relationships are rooted in respect.
A big thank you to co-organisers Abbie McConnell & Kevin Dunn for setting this in motion. Also to our hosts & supporters Cambridge & Counties Bank, Furnley House, and all involved for believing there’s value in gathering, learning, sharing!
