Root & Branch Out Recieve Their Bespoke Merch

By Kyra Leigh

At the start of this year, we teamed up with Root-And-Branch-Out as our 1% for the Planet partner and we are pleased to announce that they have received the first donation of bespoke merchandise!

Root-And-Branch-Out are a Leicestershire based community group focused on outdoors education, including running accredited Forest Schools, allotments and community fridges so it was important that their merch was durable, of high quality and eco friendly. Like with all of our clients, we started the process by talking through what their needs are and what products would work best for them. This culminated in a trio of truly exemplary items:

Neutral® Hoodie

Cosy, organic, Fairtrade - this cotton hoodie is an obvious choice. Manufactured with renewable energy, the Neutral brand is renowned for creating high quality garments at a low cost to the earth. Layered with a coat or worn on its own, this a wardrobe staple for the British outdoors.

Patagonia Hard Shell Jacket

Patagonia is a MoJo favourite brand, so we were more than happy to source this jacket for them. Made from an outer shell of recycled nylon, this hard shell jacket features 3-layer design, trapping heat in and keeping rain out.

100% Hemp Apron

And for when they are not braving the soggy outdoors, we have this hard wearing apron made from sustainably sourced hemp. Wonderfully tactile with large pockets, we really feel that this reflects the Root-And-Branch-Out ethos of care, community and environment.

For the hoodie and jacket, we wanted to ensure that the detailed Root-And-Branch-Out logo was featured clearly to aid with easy identification - something that is very important when working with vulnerable groups. For this reason we opted for a crisp print to the left breast. To match the rustic aesthetic of the hemp apron, embroidery was the obvious choice.
