Product Assessment
Emissions: This product is made in China, however the carbon footprint created is offset by shipping in bulk and stocking the item within Europe, where it is also branded. | Raw Materials: The holder is made from certified bamboo, a fast growing and renewable material that can be replaced quickly once it is harvested. The 8 hex keys are made from carbon steel, which is hard wearing and corrosion resistant, but is not from a recycled source. Each set is supplied in a gift box made from sustainable sources. | Longevity: Hand tools are not a consumable item, so under normal use this set should last well beyond 3 years. The carbon steel keys will not wear out with everyday use, and the bamboo holder keeps the set together, which makes it more likely to be kept and used rather than misplaced. We would recommend laser engraving, as the branding will not wear away over time. | End of Life: This is a mixed material product, so it cannot be recycled as a whole through kerbside collections. The bamboo holder is biodegradable and can be composted, the steel keys can be recycled at a household waste recycling centre, and the outer gift box is widely recycled through UK domestic waste services.
